Afternoon Ride in the Park
Spend a relaxing afternoon exploring our amazing park! Enter Golden Gate park near Hippy Hill & the home of the lovable curmudgeon who built a paradise in the dunes. I share his vision, & show you the mysteries hiding in his park. You'll learn the mystery of a Druid Circle hidden in the woods & its connection to the plutocrats that built the park. Circle the museums & the Japanese Tea Garden & learn about the 1894 Mid-Winter Fair that gave the park its start. Visit some esoteric art, then a stop at a secret fairy door. Circle Stowe Lake to see the Disney like pagoda and falls . Marvel at the Portals to the Past, wind labyrinthine paths to the charming Anglers Lodge to experience the zen of fly-casting while we enjoy our gourmet snacks. Roam to the bison field to see the great beasts, then speed past a Dutch windmill to reach the shining Pacific & historic Beach Chalet, with 30's era murals of park history. Turning east, we'll stop in a deep and mysterious redwood forest, then back to base for internationally famous ice-cream at the nostalgic Ice Cream Bar or stroll Haight St to the Club Deluxe. You'll learn more park secrets than any local alive! (almost).
